Subscription Management
Managing your Barrion subscription and billing.
Barrion uses Stripe for all payment processing. This page covers how to view and manage your subscription.
Viewing Your Subscription
Go to Plan in your dashboard to see:
- Your current plan and credit bundle
- Billing frequency (monthly or annual)
- Next billing date
- Payment method on file
Billing Frequency
Essential is billed monthly or yearly. Yearly is twelve months of your bundle less 20%, paid up front, and the whole year's credits are granted on day one. Business is billed on the terms agreed with sales.
Payment Methods
Barrion accepts all payment methods supported by Stripe, including major credit and debit cards. You can update your payment method at any time through Manage Subscription on your plan page, which opens the Stripe portal.
Invoices and Receipts
Stripe automatically sends email receipts for each payment. You can also access your full invoice history through the Stripe customer portal, opened from Manage Subscription on your plan page.
Refunds
Paid plans have a 14-day refund window from the first charge. Email contact@barrion.io.
Cancelling Your Subscription
To cancel your subscription:
- Go to Plan in your dashboard and open Manage Subscription.
- Cancel the subscription in the Stripe portal.
- Confirm the cancellation.
Your paid plan remains active until the end of your current billing period. After that date, your account reverts to the Free plan.
Cancellation does not delete your account or scan history. You retain access to all past results and pentest reports on the Free plan, but monitoring schedules and notifications are paused. Credits already in your balance stay spendable until they expire.
What Happens When Your Subscription Expires
When a paid subscription ends -- whether from cancellation or a failed payment -- the following occurs:
- Your account moves to the Free plan.
- Scan quotas revert to 5 scans/day with a 3-page crawl depth and 18 checks.
- All monitoring schedules are paused.
- GitHub integrations are disconnected and fix pull requests stop.
- Notification channels (email, Slack, Teams) stop sending alerts.
- Credits already in your balance stay spendable until their own expiry date; no new grants arrive.
- Past scan results, findings, and pentest reports remain accessible.
Failed Payments
If a payment fails, Stripe retries the charge according to its retry schedule. During the retry period, your plan remains active. If all retries fail, your subscription is cancelled and your account reverts to the Free plan.
Keep your payment method up to date to avoid interruptions. You can update it at any time through Manage Subscription on your plan page.
