Quick Start

This guide walks you through running your first Barrion security scan. You can start scanning immediately -- no account required.

Run a Guest Scan

Step 1: Navigate to Barrion

Open barrion.io in your browser. The scan input is available directly on the homepage.

Step 2: Enter Your Website URL

Type or paste the URL of the website you want to scan. Barrion accepts any public-facing URL (e.g., https://example.com).

Step 3: Start the Scan

Click the scan button. Barrion will begin crawling your site and running security checks. Results stream in real time via server-sent events, so you can watch findings appear as they are detected.

A typical scan takes between 30 seconds and a few minutes depending on the number of pages crawled.

Step 4: Review Your Security Score

Once the scan completes, you will see:

• Security score -- A numeric score from 0 to 100 with a letter grade (A through F).
• Vulnerability summary -- A breakdown of findings by severity: Critical, High, Medium, and Low.
• Category results -- Findings organized across 10 security categories including TLS, Headers, CSP, CORS, Cookies, and more.

Step 5: View Recommendations

Select any finding to see:

• A description of the vulnerability and why it matters.
• The current value detected on your site.
• Specific remediation steps to fix the issue.
